NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE BIG CYPRESS ANIMAL HOSPITAL

Description of Intended Products or Services Provided: Domestic Animals needs a high-volume boarding facility that can house and care for a minimum of 30 dogs on a rotating basis for nine (9) to twelve (12) months. The boarding facility would provide appropriate-size kenneling; socialization and enrichment; food; and medical care in emergencies. The restoration and installation of permanent air conditioning in Kennel Buildings 3,4, and 5 are part of the DAS Surtax Project. Each kennel building must be cleared for approximately three (3) months for the project to commence. For Domestic Animal Services (DAS) to expeditiously clear each building in a phased approach, we need to contract high-volume boarding services to house the dogs in the building under restoration. Off-site boarding is essential for DAS to maintain continuity of care of the dogs in our care until they can be reunited with their owners, transported to rescues, or adopted.
