Description
This IFQ outlines the duties required of the chemical supplier for supplying liquid sodium hydroxide to the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility (ECLWRF), the Chevron Nitrification Treatment Plant (CNTP), the Torrance Refinery Water Recycling Plant (TRWRP), and the Juanita Millender-McDonald Carson Regional Water Recycling Plant (JMMCRWRP). All four (4) facilities are located in the South Bay Region of Los Angeles County. Liquid sodium hydroxide is used for pH control and to add buffering capacity for the biological nitrification processes. The estimated monthly usage of liquid sodium hydroxide at the various facilities is shown in the following table. These figures are not guaranteed.
