INVITATION FOR QUOTE (IFQ) FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MINI-BULK CHEMICALS

This IFQ outlines the duties required of the chemical supplier for supplying all three mini-bulk chemicals: sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, and ferric chloride to ECLWRF. Sodium hypochlorite is used as a primary disinfectant in the mobile microfiltration treatment process, sodium hydroxide is used in the membrane cleaning process, and ferric chloride is used as a primary coagulant in the pre-treatment microfiltration process. All three chemicals must be delivered by the chemical supplier. The chemical supplier shall also provide and install a telemetry system onto the tanks to remotely monitor the mini-bulk tank chemical levels. Access to the remote monitoring system shall be given the District and the District’s contract operator, Veolia. The estimated daily use of the three chemicals at the facility for the contract period is shown in the following table. These figures are not guaranteed.
