Electronic Monitoring Devices

The County of Shasta, through its Department of Support Services, Purchasing Unit, invites responses to a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to provide Electronic Monitoring Services . The County is seeking providers who can offer firm fixed price rates who specialize in technology and services designed to track and monitor offender movement through Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology and/or continuously remotely monitor, measure, record, and communicate alcohol levels ingested through the uses of transdermal electronic systems and software to ensure offender compliance with court-orders. These services may be used as needed by all County agencies, including the Shasta County Probation Department and the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. The anticipated number of adult and juvenile offenders to be monitored and tracked on a continuous basis may range from one to 200 offender(s). However, the County will be under no obligation to maintain a minimum or maximum number of offenders on the system. The successful responder shall provide the County with all equipment (hardware and software) necessary for the monitoring and tracking services. Quotes will only be considered from companies that have an established reputation in the electronic monitoring field. Each quote shall be accompanied by a set of “contractor’s specifications” that indicate size, type, make, and model of all components.
