Description
The 30 th Street Improvements – 1 project is located in Mount Vernon, Washington. This project will design and construction improvements on 30 th Street extending from the intersection with College Way south to the intersection with Paul Place. Proposed improvements include new sidewalk, replacement of an existing stream culvert under 30 th Street, pavement mill and thin overlay, channelization, utility relocation, and stormwater utility improvements. The City has contracted David Evans & Associates, Inc., to lead the civil engineering design and environmental permitting consultant team. The work advertised by this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and to be performed by the selected consultant consists of preparing right-of-way (ROW) plans, assessments, and all required documentation to support acquisition of both permanent and temporary private property rights for the proposed improvements to 30 th Street. This project is partially funded with a federal transportation grant. All work shall be performed in compliance with the Local Agency Guidelines (LAG) Manual published by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Acquisition payments are anticipated to be funded only with local funds, and the selected real estate services consultant will collaborate with the David Evans & Associates consultant team to complete acquisition certification by WSDOT.
