PPHD Quality Improvement (QI) Training RFP

PURPOSE The City of Pasadena Public Health Department is seeking proposals for provision of quality improvement(QI) trainings in the summer/fall of 2023. Below you will find an outline of the desired services and terms of application. WHO MAY RESPOND The Department seeks a qualified vendor who is registered to do business with the City of Pasadena, and who is able to demonstrate experience successfully developing and implementing targeted public health/health equity quality improvement trainings for department personnel. All proposals shall include the following information or will be deemed non-responsive: Company description, size and structure. Identify staff assigned to the project and specify the project manager. Resumes or curriculum vitae of staff to be assigned to the project summarizing education, position in company, years and type of experience, continuing professional education, etc. (sub-contracting out of any work without the express written consent of the Department is prohibited). At least two agendas, samples, and/or other evidence demonstrating capability to deliver QI training programs similar to the scope of work requested. A detailed Scope of Work for trainings and projects with specific timeline for completion, evidence of tailoring training to public health and health equity, and detail of differences in cost and timelines for in-person, hybrid, or virtual delivery of training courses. A proposed budget Note : The candidate must be registered as a vendor with the City of Pasadena, and must provide a Certificate of Insurance upon selection. INNOVATION-SEEKING The Department is seeking to implement a robust and innovative quality improvement training program to equip personnel with fundamental and intermediate-level skills and knowledge, targeted to focus on a public health and health equity perspective, utilizing examples based upon the core functions of public health, e.g., disease investigation/surveillance, vital records, emergency preparedness, policy development.
