Nurse Educator and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program Coordinator

The City is seeking the services of a Nurse Educator and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Program Coordinator to provide Paramedic Continuing Education, and to administer and manage the CQI Program under the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division. The Nurse Educator / CQI Program Coordinator will work closely with the PFD EMS Battalion Chief, EMS Captains and Medical Director to identify educational needs and develop programs that foster learning that will result in the provision of optimal patient care. The primary focus of the training and education will be at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level. In addition, this position is responsible for overall management of the PFD’s CQI Program. This includes the development and tracking of metrics based on patient outcomes, to improve program performance and the identification of issues that warrant education and training.
