Sealed bids for the project entitled Downtown Thread Trail Norfolk Southern Railroad Crossing will be received by the City of Conover until 2:00 p.m. local time June 11, 2026 in the Council Chambers of the Conover City Hall located at 101 1st Street East, Conover, NC 28613. At said place and time, all Bids that have been duly received, will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time June 4, 2026 in the Council Chambers of the Conover City Hall located at 101 1st Street East, Conover, NC 28613. Interested parties are invited to attend this meeting to review the plans, ask for additional information or clarification and to visit the project site. THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF: Project consists of general site demolition, installation of proposed sidewalk, fencing, railroad crossing, and associated grading and erosion control.
