The City of Caldwell is desirous to establish a railroad quiet zone in the downtown and nearby area, eliminating train horn blasts, to enhance the livability of this important area of the city. Caldwell is requesting written qualifications to provide professional engineering services for a Railroad Quiet Zone Evaluation of six separate railroad/street crossings of the Union Pacific Railroad in Caldwell. The City will be closing the 4th Avenue crossing in the near future, and this evaluation study will examine the following crossings: 5th Avenue Kimball Avenue 9th Avenue 12th Avenue 21st Avenue Linden Road
