GJD RDS Applied Behavior Analyst

Gerard J. Dynes New Jersey Regional Day School seeks professional development services for the 2022-2023 school year. These services are to provide evidence-based recommendations for program development and on-going consultation to develop instruction in which strategies are guided by the principles of applied behavior analysis with emphasis upon Skinner’s analysis of verbal behavior. This type of professional development needs to involve a combination of staff training and extensive coaching of staff with students. Services should include: One day review of delivery of services on-site to meet educational personnel who provide services to children with autism and include the following activities: Observation of classrooms to observe the delivery of instruction. Review of all relevant documents including student assessments, IEPs, student progress reports, etc. Compile and organize relevant data and submit a report of finds and recommendations for program development. Monthly follow up consultations to implement recommendations from initial program review from October 2025 through June 2026. Classroom consultation to classroom teachers and principal to identify needs within two classrooms (one primary level and one secondary level). Examples of possible service needs might include: organization of the classroom environment, training of teacher and assistants to implement ABA teaching methods that include an emphasis upon verbal behavior, assessment of learners and development of IEP goals and objectives, train teachers and classroom assistants to teach non-vocal learners, reduction of problem behavior of several students, functional life skills etc.
