(1) Vendor needs to provide general legal counsel services to the government authority located in Portales, NM. • Perform a variety of legal services requested by the administration and board of regents.• Litigation in state and federal courts;• Representation of before state and federal regulatory agencies;• Advising on issues related to the laws affecting higher education;• Advising on matters related to commercial transaction and other contractual relationships; including insurance.• Tax (particularly issues involving tax–exempt status);• Real estate transactions;• Trusts, estates, and gifts;• Labor and employment law, including civil rights and collective bargaining;• Advising on matters related to distribution of mill levies and revenue bonds, bonds which may be issued by the school districts or other tax districts relating to, and other bond matters that may arise.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than June 30, 2026. (3) The contract period will be for one year.
