The City of Santa Monica, (referred to hereafter as “the City”) invites proposals from qualified persons or firms to provide expert analysis of the City’s zero waste progress to create a 2024 Zero Waste Plan Update. The goal of the update is three-fold: Evaluate past and present zero waste performance Recommend future zero waste strategies to enable the City to reach a per capita landfill disposal rate of 1.1 pounds per person per day (PPD) by 2030. Produce and present a 2024 update to the City’s 2019 Zero Waste Plan Update This project requires that proposers have extensive experience in municipal solid waste management operations and the evaluation and implementation of zero waste plans and updates for local governments.
