(1) Vendor needs to provide EMS billing services.1. Billing:– The county will perform daily quality assurance reviews utilizing validation tools and officer review of all patient care reports prior to being marked reviewed for billing. The company will be responsible for pulling reviewed transports from ImageTrend to identify and ultimately bill the appropriate guarantor for services provided.– Records and histories for services processed by the company shall be available and accessible by authorized county personnel through online access to the company’s billing system.2. Invoicing:– All invoices shall be billed in compliance with the fair debt collections practice act.– Electronic filing is the required method of filing primary Medicare, medicaid and commercial insurance claims.– Electronic filing is the preferred method of filling to all other guarantors, if applicable. Otherwise, paper invoices may be issued directly to appropriate patient guarantors.– Company shall verify insurance eligibility utilizing available resources and commercial databases prior to the submission of any patient claim for reimbursement.3. Collections:– All monies will come to the county.– Claims shall be appropriately re–categorized receiving payment from the primary payer. All denials shall be processed within three business days of receipt.4. Accounting and reporting:– Accounting for all billing pursuant to generally accepted accounting principles shall be provided on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, or as requested by the county.(2) All question must be submitted no later than June 19, 2026.(3) A contract period will be for one year.
