Baggage Handling System (BHS) Preventive Maintenance, Repairs, and Inspections (Re-Bid)

The Sanford Airport Authority invites firms meeting the minimum qualifications outlined in the solicitation documents, to submit bids for Baggage Handling System (BHS), which includes Baggage Carousels (Claim Devices) and Make-Up Units (MU) equipment, Preventive Maintenance Services, Repairs, and Inspections, at Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). This project supports the Authority’s ongoing commitment to enhancing airport infrastructure and operations. The purpose of this solicitation is to select a Contractor holding State of Florida licenses, at time of submitting a bid, as both a Certified Mechanical Contractor (CMC) and a Certified Electrical Contractor (EC) with a minimum of five (5) years of recent, consecutive experience performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on systems comparable to those used in airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS). Firms submitting a Bid in response to this Solicitation (singularly, a Respondent ; collectively, Respondents ) must meet the minimum qualification requirements specified in the Respondent Questionnaire, available on the Authority’s e-Procurement Portal hosted by OpenGov at https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/flysfb . The resulting contract will have an initial term of three (3) years, with the option for two (2) additional one (1) year renewals, subject to written agreement by all parties. The contract shall include all labor, equipment, licensing, materials (including oil and grease), tools, travel, and any other items necessary to complete the work outlined in the solicitation, as needed to fulfill the requirements of the contract. Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference: The Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference must be attended in-person at the location specified in the Timeline. To be considered as attending in-person, prospective Respondents must be in the conference room by the scheduled start time of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference as shown in the Timeline. Because this is a re-bid with revised requirements, attendance at the pre-bid is mandatory regardless of your attendance at the prior pre-bid for 2025-017-ITB-CB.
