This project supports the Authority&rsquo;s ongoing commitment to enhancing airport infrastructure and operations.</p><p>The purpose of this solicitation is to select a Contractor <s>holding State of Florida </s><span style=\"background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"><s>licenses, at time of submitting a bid, as both a Certified Mechanical Contractor (CMC) and a Certified Electrical Contractor (EC)</s> </span>with a minimum of five (5) years of recent, consecutive experience performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on systems comparable to those used in airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS). <s>The Contractor shall have an office within fifty (50) miles of the Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) at time of bid submission. </s><span style=\"background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"> <span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45);\"><u>The Contractor shall be capable of responding to the Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) within <s>four (4)</s> eight (8) hours of notification, regardless of office location.</u></span></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45);\"><u>Vendors are NOT required to possess a State of Florida Electrical or General Contractor license to submit a response to this solicitation. However, if any portion of the work to be performed under the resulting contract requires services that fall within the scope of work regulated by Florida licensing laws for electrical or general contracting, the selected vendor shall engage appropriately licensed subcontractors to perform such work. All subcontracted work shall be completed in accordance with the agreement and solicitation terms and conditions and applicable laws, including obtaining any required permits.</u></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45);\"><u> </u><u>At time of bidding, Bidders shall identify any subcontractors proposed to perform work under this contract, particularly those intended to perform services that require a State of Florida Electrical Contractor or General Contractor license. Bidders shall include the name, scope of work, and license number (if applicable) for each subcontractor. (See Respondent Questionnaire in the ITB for further information.)</u></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45);\"><u> </u><u>Failure to identify required subcontractors or to provide evidence that any work requiring a licensed contractor will be performed by an appropriately licensed entity may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.</u></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(224, 62, 45);\"><u> </u><u>The Sanford Airport Authority reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine whether the licensing and subcontractor information provided is sufficient and in the best interest of the Authority.</u></span></p><p>Firms submitting a Bid in response to this Solicitation (singularly, a <em data-end=\"504\" data-start=\"492\">Respondent</em>; collectively, <em data-end=\"533\" data-start=\"520\">Respondents</em>) must meet the minimum qualification requirements specified in the Respondent Questionnaire, available on the Authority&rsquo;s e-Procurement Portal hosted by OpenGov at <a href=\"https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/flysfb\">https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/flysfb</a>.</p><p>The resulting contract will have an initial term of three (3) years, with the option for two (2) additional one (1) year renewals, subject to written agreement by all parties. The contract shall include all labor, equipment, licensing, materials (including oil and grease), tools, travel, and any other items necessary to complete the work outlined in the solicitation, as needed to fulfill the requirements of the contract.</p><p><strong>Non-Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference: </strong>The Non-Mandatory Pre-Solicitation Conference may be attended in-person at the location specified in the Timeline. The Optional Site Tour will occur right after the pre-bid meeting.</p>",
