Meters for Pasadena Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) and Utility Intertie

The Supplier shall provide CAISO approved Revenue Meters for Pasadena Water & Power (PWP) at its Glenarm Powerplant and TM Goodrich Receiving Station. The City uses a system called a Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG), which is required by CAISO to monitor the generating units at the Glenarm Power Plant. The existing RIG that serves GT 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 is located at the City’s Dispatching Center, which is across the street from the Glenarm Powerplant. The RIG system and CAISO metering is now approaching 20 years in service at the Glenarm site. The City is planning to upgrade these system to current technology.
