Description
The Hollywood Florida Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is seeking a firm(s) to provide construction project implementation, project control oversight and owner’s representation for the Phase IV - Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification Project Number (BCRA 19-001). See Exhibit “A” for geographical project location. The Phase IV Undergrounding of Overhead Utilities and Streetscape Beautification project is broken up in two phases/scope of services 1. Phase IV - EW Streets from Harrison Street to Magnolia Terrace, east of SR A1A to the Broadwalk 2. Phase IV - SR A1A from Hollywood Blvd to the Southern City Limits Phase IV - EW Street The scope of work includes undergrounding of overhead utilities, drainage improvements, installation of marine turtle friendly lighting, newly constructed sidewalks and roadways with colored concrete pavers, street-end plazas with mosaic designs, new landscape, chilled water drinking fountains and bike racks. In addition, this project incorporates additional measures to address the adverse conditions caused by Sea level rise and seasonal high tides, by elevating the road profile. This portion of the project also includes, Magnolia Terrace surface parking lot reconfiguration and beach access ramps, stairs and showers, east of the Broadwalk. Phase IV - SR A1A The project scope is generally described as undergrounding of overhead utilities and complete street improvements, which includes widening the medians new landscape on sidewalk and medians and new sidewalks with decorative integrally colored concrete pavers and pavement markings. Project requirements and interagency agreements. Additionally, the Hollywood CRA is currently working on entering into a Joint Partnership Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to incorporate FDOT’s dedicated funding for Roadway Resurfacing, Restoration and Rehabilitation (RRR). It is intended to incorporate the FDOT’s scope of work into the CRA’s Phase IV construction documents. Both the CRA’s and FDOT RRR work will be constructed under one Bid Set/Construction Contract. The consolidation of both scopes will require the CRA to comply with certain FDOT construction formalities such as the inclusion of an independent Construction Engineering Inspector (CEI), to be provided by the CRA. It will also require the General Contractor to utilize FDOT prequalified subcontractors, solely for the portion of the work associated with the FDOT RRR scope of work. It is estimated that the Phase IV EW Streets and SR A1A will cost approximately $42M with and additional $3.5M in private property harmonization.
