JUVENILE PROBATION DESIGN BUILD

The current facility is 50 years old and is not practical for today’s juvenile offender and rehabilitation needs. The juvenile justice system has changed substantially since the design and construction of the current facility. The Youth Center struggles to implement modern strategies and solutions to accommodate the needs of the community and families served by the department. The juvenile justice system continues to evolve and the design of the current facility impedes our ability to adapt to growing reforms. The goal of this project is to alleviate our current issues, expand services to referred youth, and provide a safe and secure environment for residents and staff. Ector County has an expectation of public safety and a juvenile justice system that can meet the needs of the community and delinquent youth.
