The City of Lawrence, Kansas is seeking proposals for a professional, fully choreographed drone light show to take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as part of Summerfest 2026—our annual Independence Day celebration. Summerfest typically draws between 4,000 and 6,000 attendees, but we anticipate an even more significant turnout in 2026 as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and proudly share this American tradition with international visitors in town for the World Cup.
