Description
The Santa Cruz County Department of Community Development and Infrastructure invites sealed proposals for SB 1383 Edible Food Recovery Services from fully licensed, insured, bonded, certified contractors to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide services for Santa Cruz County. Santa Cruz County Recycling and Solid Waste Services (COUNTY) operates two disposal sites, the Buena Vista Landfill and the Ben Lomond Transfer Station, that serve the unincorporated County of Santa Cruz population of 133,153 people. The COUNTY oversees franchise waste hauler agreements that provide residential curbside and business refuse, recyclables and organic waste collection. The COUNTY is also responsible for compliance with State laws requiring waste reduction, recycling, and diversion.
