ONT Terminal Waste Receptacles Replacement: Phase 2
Ontario International Airport / Planning
Description
California State Regulation SB 1383 established a statewide target to reduce organic waste. Regulations require that all residents, businesses (including those that generate edible food), haulers, solid waste facilities, local food banks, and other food recovery organizations establish an organic waste collection service and an edible food recovery program. The OIAA plans to incorporate waste receptacles with streams for landfill, recyclable, and compost materials. The overall objective is to improve the functionality of waste disposal in the terminals while simultaneously reducing organic waste and promoting general sustainability at the ONT Airport.
