Toxicity Testing, Whole Effluent

Chronic testing must be conducted at South Cross Bayou Water Reclamation Facility (SCBWRF), 7401 54th Ave North, St. Petersburg, FL 33709, at least once every three (3) months as specified in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. Bridgeway Acres Class I Landfill sampling and testing is dependent upon the occurrence of surface water discharge. Acute toxicity tests will be performed from a single grab sample of final effluent to surface water discharge. The awarded contractor will supply Pinellas County Utilities (PCU) and Solid Waste Operations (SWO) with prepaid FedEx shipping labels or local courier shipping labels, coolers, sample bottles, sampling and shipping schedules, custody seals, and chain of custody forms. County staff will collect all samples, prepare them for shipment and ship them to the contractor (WET testing laboratory). The Awarded contractor will perform WET testing as specified in our current and future NPDES permits, and any additional WET testing required during the contract.
