Leon County Detention Center Exterior Stairs Renovation Phase II

Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified vendor, licensed by the State of Florida as a General Contractor, to renovate two (2) exterior emergency egress staircases located at the housing pods along the west perimeter fence. The renovation shall include, demolition of the existing stair treads, rusted steel framing components, concrete stair landings and steel decks, catwalk roofing and steel roof decks. Replace all demolished materials an components per the Construction Drawings and prepare and repaint all metal components that remained in place. Re-sod all disturbed grass areas. All vendor staff working on-site are required to have a background check prior to being granted access to the facility. The required forms that will need to completed. The Leon County Sheriff's Office Construction Contractor Orientation Manual can be found in the Detention Center Specifications- Attachment G. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Leon County Detention Center Administration Building Main Entrance, located at 535 Appleyard Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32304 . The bidder shall specify the total of all costs to fully complete tasks outlined in the Specifications. Attendance is mandatory to be eligible for award. The Detention Facility is a secure facility. All contractors will be required to sign in. Please bring ID. No cell phones, knives, tools, or weapons will be allowed inside the facility. Contractors may bring pens, pencils, notebooks or note pads. ACCESS TO PLANS Certain specifications related to the scope of the proposed work in this solicitation are exempt from disclosure pursuant to Section 119.071, Florida Statutes. Interested contractors will be required to complete a Non-Disclosure Agreement and agree to maintain the exempt nature of the applicable records. Encryption keys and/or passwords to secure documents will be provided to requesting contractors after the submission of the Non-Disclosure Agreement and acceptance by the Leon County Purchasing Division. Non-Disclosure Agreements may be submitted to the Leon County Purchasing Division from the time of Release of the solicitation. At the conclusion of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting, only contractors who attended and signed in at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be eligible to receive encryption keys and/or passwords to secure documents.
