Leon County Detention Center Lobby Hardening Project

Leon County, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office, is seeking the services of a qualified vendor for the Leon County Detention Center Lobby Hardening project with a lobby security upgrade with a scanner and search area in accordance with Attachment A - Technical Specifications and Attachment B - Full Plan Set. Work shall include but not be limited to: Windows, doors, hardware, finishes, and equipment. Bullet resistant doors and windows, commercial windows ,doors and equipment. Detention securities and controls. Mechanical and Electrical work. The intention of this project is to make the Detention Lobby more secure. The Public will be separated from the Staff with a bullet resistant barrier. All people entering the Secure Area will be scanned / searched. Renovation to include new floors, wall partitions, interior windows, doors, millwork, and ceiling system. The required systems will also be included, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electric, Fire protection. Furniture and office equipment to be purchased by the Owner. Note there are bullet resistant doors and windows that may delay the project if not ordered in the appropriate timeframe. Security Requirements: Upon contract being awarded, all employees who will be working inside the Detention Facility secured area must pass a basic criminal history check.
