Annawood and Belair-Phase I Subdivisions Septic-to-Sewer Conversions

Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified vendor to provide and install new gravity sewer mains made of 8-inch diameter PVC piping and concrete manholes along the centerlines of all existing streets; also, performing residential connections using 4-inch PVC throughout the confines of Annawood & Belair-Phase I, in accordance with Attachment A - Technical Specifications - Annawood, Attachment B - Construction Plans - Annawood, Attachment C - Environmental Permit - Annawood, Attachment D - Bid Pricing Sheet - Annawood, Attachment E - Technical Specifications - Belair - Phase I, Attachment F - Construction Plans - Belair - Phase I, Attachment G - Environmental Permit - Belair - Phase I, Attachment H - Bid Pricing Sheet - Belair - Phase I, and Attachment I - Annawood/Belair - Phase I Travel Distance. Work includes all land clearing and a new 8-inch sewer outfall that must be placed across a portion of the neighboring St. Joe Land & Development Company property to facilitate the required tie-in to an existing City of Tallahassee sanitary sewer pumping station that’s located in Montejo subdivision (for providing sewer services to Annawood); also, the continuation of an existing 8-inch sewer main which extends southward from out of Montejo (for providing the sewer services for Belair-Phase I). Upon connecting these new sewers to residences their existing septic tanks & drainfields shall be pumped out, collapsed, backfilled and abandoned in-place. All existing road structure that is removed for sewer lines shall be replaced and the road surfaces restored by resurfacing. All disturbed land shall be re-graded, sodded and watered to establish growth. Work includes coordination with City Utilities, permit agencies, testing labs, etc. It is the intention of the County to award this bid on the lowest responsive total bid price to one vendor for both projects.
