Marine Towing and Storage Services

City of St. Petersburg / Police

Description

The Police Department's Marine unit is responsible for enforcing all State and Municipal laws on waterways within the jurisdiction of the City of St. Petersburg. The Marine unit occasionally requires towing and impounding of vessels, watercraft, barges, and airboats that have been docked illegally or in derelict for public safety. Marine towing and impound services also provide water storage spaces for the impounded vessels. Our goal is to provide exceptional waterway safety on a continuous basis for the City of St. Petersburg's residents and visitors and most importantly, to minimize any accidents on the waterway due to abandoned vessels left in poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect that are in violation of boating ordinances.
