Description
Project Description: Improve pedestrian safety at unsignalized intersections through the installation of pedestrian refuge islands. ADA compliant ramps will also be installed as needed. The major element of the work includes the following: Removal and replacement of concrete and asphalt pavement, installations of pedestrian refuge islands at uncontrolled spot locations, storm drainage, sidewalk and curb ramp repair and replacement, signals- installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon Systems (RRFB), landscaping and tree trimming, channelization- traffic signs, striping removal, and pavement markings. Engineer's Estimate: $1,000,000 Project Location: The following are the Project Locations (8): • 11th Avenue and E Pike Street, • 6th Avenue W and W Nickerson Street, • College Way N and N 103rd Street, • Stone Way N and N 41st Street, • 23rd Avenue S and S Main Street, • 2nd Avenue NE and NE 45th Street, • Meridian Avenue N and N 107th Street and, • 12th Avenue and E Alder Street.
