Hilton Head Island Airport Retail and Food and Beverage Concessions

Hilton Head Island Airport, operated by Beaufort County, South Carolina, is seeking qualified, innovative, and customer-focused concessionaires to participate in a revitalized concessions program as part of the airport’s Terminal Improvements Project – Phase I. This initiative represents a major milestone in the airport’s development and is focused on enhancing the passenger experience while supporting the region’s economic growth and community identity. With construction now underway on a $30.9 million terminal renovation—funded through a combination of FAA grants, South Carolina Aeronautics Commission grants, state support, and airport revenue—the airport is positioned to offer new and improved commercial opportunities within its terminal. The project includes expanded boarding areas, new TSA screening facilities, improved pedestrian circulation, and the integration of advanced infrastructure, all designed to accommodate increased passenger volumes and modern travel needs. Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), Hilton Head Island Airport invites proposals from concessionaires interested in operating retail, food and beverage, and specialty service outlets that reflect the distinct charm, culture, and hospitality of the Lowcountry region. The airport seeks to cultivate a concessions program that provides exceptional service, offers local and regional flavor, supports small business participation, and meets the expectations of today’s travelers.
