Lake Avenue Pedestrian Access Improvements Project

The project consists of streetscape improvement along Lake Avenue. Work will include addition of midblock crossing with pedestrian signal Cordova Street and Del Mar Boulevard and new crossing traffic signal at Granite Drive; modification to “Parkstripe” island at Union Street with addition of right turn pocket. It also consists of reconstructing curb ramps to current ADA standards, widening sidewalks, modifying traffic signals, adding new irrigated landscaping, and installing pedestrian scale lighting to improve pedestrian safety at Lake Avenue. The work includes furnishing and installing traffic signal standards, traffic signal cabinet and controller. It also includes furnishing and installing traffic signal equipment, conduits, conductors, pull boxes, relocation of existing street light standards, sandblasting, striping, signage, and miscellaneous appurtenant work.
