Pickleball Analysis and Court Installation Project (24P05)
City of Lake Forest / Public Works
Description
The El Toro Pickleball Court project will replace the existing sand volleyball court with three contiguous concrete pickleball courts and associated improvements. Work includes securing the site, installing erosion control measures, and removing existing sand, turf, irrigation components, and debris while protecting specified trees. Earthwork will involve grading and compacting the subgrade, followed by placement of a three-inch Class II aggregate base. The court will be constructed with a six-and-a-half-inch Portland Cement Concrete slab, finished with an acrylic Plexipave surface. A four-inch Portland Cement Concrete pedestrian pavement will also be installed. Fencing will include four-foot perimeter chain link, ten-foot court fencing with privacy screening, and a five-foot-wide by ten-foot-high gate, all with new concrete footings. Pickleball posts and net will be installed per manufacturer specifications.
