(1) Vendor needs to provide investigator service to the government authority located in Bend, OR.    – To work as a contract investigator to investigate leads on organized retail crime cases.– Works independently, and applies knowledge, skills, and experience to investigate information and people; conducts interviews, writes reports, and reviews district attorney's office cases; prioritizes assignments, and performs duties within scope of authority and in compliance with County policies.• Investigating leads on organized retail crime cases. • Assisting law enforcement investigations involving organized retail theft and related fencing activity. • Reviewing available information from case files, partner agencies, retailers, social media, online marketplaces, and other third–party resale networks to support investigation and case development. • Identifying connections, patterns, and possible fencing activity for referral or further development by the district attorney’s office, law enforcement, crime analyst, or other team members. • Preparing prosecution support materials and case support packets for County staff. • Providing data and activity information needed for quarterly grant reporting and related program tracking. • Provide courtroom testimony as needed based on assigned cases. • Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) compliance (2) The contract period will be thirteen months.
