The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than 'Proposal Submission Date at 'Proposal Submission Time (local prevailing time). The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide federal government and legislative services. The City of Newport News is seeking a contractor to perform government relations and legislative services activities at the federal level in support of the City’s mission, strategic and capitol plans, projects, and any other City initiatives impacted at the Federal level. The Contractor will assist the City in identifying opportunities and effectively engaging policy makers and staff of federal elected and administration officials to ensure the City obtains positive federal policy and funding outcomes. The City is soliciting contracted support at this time based on the increased availability and complexity of Federal resources combined with the need to interact with Congress and the Administration to secure policy, regulatory, and financial outcomes that are beneficial to the City
