Description
1.1 Purpose The City of Cleveland (City), Department of Public Utilities (DPU), Division of Water (CWD) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms interested in providing professional services to rehabilitate and upgrade the Nottingham Filter Underdrains. This multidisciplinary project requires a team with expertise in providing structural and civil site work improvements to an existing structure at the Nottingham Water Works Plant. This Request for Proposal (RFP) invites proposals from experienced engineering firms for design services as described by this document, including but not limited to preliminary design, detailed design, specialized technical assistance, field services, construction bidding and award support, and construction assistance. The project includes improving the existing Filter structures to incorporate new stainless steel underdrains and appurtenances. A more detailed scope of work for the Nottingham Filter Underdrain Rehabilitation Project (Project) is described in Section 2 of this document. CWD intends to award a single contract to an engineering services firm for the work defined in Section 2.
