Sole Source Request: Orlando Lake Mary Marriott – Florida Department of Education Chancellor’s Leadership Academy

The Orlando Lake Mary Marriott offers a daily room rate of $159–$175, well below the state per diem of $225, and meets all space and concession needs. The hotel staff’s familiarity with the unique requirements of Florida Department of Education events significantly reduces planning time and ensures smooth execution. They have consistently demonstrated professionalism, responsiveness, and the ability to accommodate large-scale educational gatherings. Previous competitive bid postings for similar events have yielded no responses, making existing vendor relationships essential in securing a suitable venue. This contract will be funded by the Florida Department of Education’s Bureau of Employee Recruitment and Retention.
