Fire Station Planning Design Services

Mount Vernon Fire seeks a professional design consultant to assist with Phase I of the project, for replacement of fire station 1 which is to , identify current and future space and operational needs, prepare conceptual design options, forecast construction and total project costs (project costs will be used to determine the bond amount needed for a potential 2025 ballot measure ). Phase II of the project will consist of the further development of design and construction documents, permitting and bid assistance, and construction contract administration services. Upon completion of Phase I of the project. The City reserves the right to enter into contract with the same firm for Phase II services, or to solicit for Phase II. In 2018, a needs assessment was completed for all three fire stations and included conceptual layout options for station 1 , design characteristics , site location , and operational needs .
