Description
Natural Resources Conservation Division's goal is to reduce the encroachment on the gopher tortoise habitat by chemically treating cogon grass at the Escambia County Equestrian Center. The area of concern is located underneath a power line right of way which crosses the property. A map of the area is under 'Attachments'. Reduction of cogon grass will be done by using Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) approved herbicide. The contractor must furnish all necessary personnel, equipment, herbicide, labor, supplies and transportation for the application of Glyphosate or equivalent as described by this statement of work to selected treatment area. The area is approximately 9 acres and Escambia County reserves the right to increase or reduce the acreage as needed.
