Accessory Dwelling Unit Master Plans

General work description: The County of Yuba Community Development and Services Agency is seeking proposals from qualified professional consulting firms and individuals experienced in the preparation of accessory dwelling unit (ADU) master plans. It is highly desirable for the ADU master plans to be customizable to allow for variations in exterior materials and door and window styles to express individual owners’ tastes and respect community character. It is desirable for this RFP to produce ADU master plans to streamline the project entitlement process, with the result aimed to enable the County to increase its supply of housing such that it is able to supply housing demand per the RHNA. The County is seeking experienced consultant(s) with a demonstrated history in the solicitation of public feedback on, preparation of, and obtaining of local/regional elected official certification for accessory dwelling unit master plans in the State of California. The consulting firm(s) will be expected to coordinate their efforts with County staff and consultant(s) working on other related projects to produce end products that comply with all State and County laws and ordinances. The County expects the consultant(s) to exhibit professionalism over the course of the contract, address the requirements of current State law and the needs of the County, and remain on schedule with minimal cost increases.
