District Attorney’s Office Forensic Interview Specialist

The District Attorney's Office (DAO) is committed to justice and accountability for all who violate the law in our county. The DAO has several divisions including the Attorney Division, Bureau of Inspectors, and the Victim Services Division. The DAO currently has contracts with four part-time, hourly, unbenefited Forensic Interview Specialists including a Director of the Forensic Interview Program/MDT Lead. The District Attorney’s Office is recruiting a qualified individual to conduct Forensic Interviews. The selected contractor will provide forensic interviewer services as well as training and case consultations, peer review, and projects as mutually agreed upon with San Mateo County. This is a part-time, hourly, contract position with no benefits. This project will include: 1. Conducting forensic interviews 2. Participating in meetings and trainings 3. Providing training and case consultation to MDT members 4. Attending peer review, MDT/Case review and other meetings, as mutually agreed upon by Contractor and San Mateo County 5. Attending ongoing training to meet or exceed National Children’s Alliance Accreditation requirements 6. Other projects as mutually agreed upon by Contractor and San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office is issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 1006 for Forensic Interview Specialist. The agreement shall have a term of two years. In addition, the County shall have one (1) option to extend the term for an additional period not to exceed two years, which the County may exercise in its sole, absolute discretion. To exercise this option, the County shall provide written notice to the Contractor at least thirty days before the end of the agreement’s term.
