Watersheds Portable Toilet Servicing, Rental and Sales
seattle / Seattle Public Utilities
Description
The purpose of this solicitation is to solicit bids from interested and qualified Vendors to service city-owned portable toilets and vaults at the Cedar River and South Fork Tolt Municipal Watersheds (Watersheds), Lake Youngs Reservoir (Lake Youngs), Rattlesnake Lake Recreational Area (RLRA), Landsburg Fish Passage (Landsburg) and other SPU location outside of the Seattle City limits. Selected vendors will also provide rental and service of temporary portable toilets at these locations to be determined by the City’s project managers. The Watersheds have permanently placed units (35 at Cedar Falls, 3 at Tolt) that need servicing 2-3 times a year, and up to 15 trailer mounted units that need servicing randomly. RLRA has up to 20 units that need servicing 2 days per week in winter and 5 days per week in summer. Lake Youngs and Landsburg have occasional need to rent portable toilets and have them serviced. The City of Seattle has had a contract for these services for several years which will expire 10/31/2025. The estimated utilization of the contracts awarded through this solicitation is expected to be $150,000 annually. The existing contract will be closed and replaced with those awarded through this solicitation. The City seeks to create contracts with winning bidders to provide scheduled, repetitive servicing of portable toilets and holding vaults located in the Watersheds, Lake Youngs, RLRA and Landsburg. The contracts would also allow for on-call servicing and rental of portable toilets as needed by the City at the Watersheds and RLRA. The City would call the Vendors when rentals are needed.
