Park Attendant Services

The City of Santa Monica, (referred to hereafter as “the City”) is inviting proposals from qualified entities interested in providing contractual services for park attendants at four City-owned and City-maintained parks. The term of the agreement will be for five years. The City is inviting proposals from contractors interested in providing park and restroom attendant services at Tongva Park, Memorial Park, Palisades Park and Reed Park. Additional locations may be added or deployment locations may change throughout the span of the contract as agreed upon by the City and Contractor. The goal of the city of Santa Monica park attendant program is to enhance the visitor experience in some of Santa Monica’s most visited parks. Attendants should be visible, mobile, and responsive. Attendants will provide the highest level of hospitality and customer service possible – they are friendly, personable approachable, knowledgeable, and able to handle situations involving conflict. They greet and welcome visitors, advise visitors of park rules and local laws related to appropriate behavior, as well as provide directions and other hospitality services as needed. They are the eyes and ears of the parks – reporting problems to be addressed to the appropriate authorities, ensuring that parks are safe, inviting places for all.
