Description
The City of Pontiac’s (referred to herein as the “City”) Purchasing Division is issuing this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to seek proposals from Tree and Brush Removal professionals for as needed City-Wide services. This RFQ also includes a specific project involving cleanup and removal of trees and brush in Crystal Lake Park as outlined in Section 2, Scope of Services. The City encourages qualified Vendors with experience to respond to this RFQ. The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts if it is in the best interest of the City to do so. All applicants must have proper insurance as requested in section 4.8 of this RFQ. This Request for Quotes (RFQ) consists of two parts. Bidders may bid on Part 1 (Crystal Lake Park) and/or Part 2 As needed Tree and Brush Removal services. Crystal Lake Park Firm Fixed Price (Part 1): The City of Pontiac is committed to restoring Crystal Lake Park and enhancing its natural beauty for the benefit of the community. Bidders are required to attend the site visit if they plan to bid on Part 1 . Bidders must provide a firm fixed price for this the Crystal Lake project. The City anticipates awarding only one agreement for the Crystal Lake Project (Part 1). All pricing for Crystal Lake Park shall be firm fixed. The City’s Parks and Youth Recreation Director will oversee this project, and all work associated with projects involving City Parks. Ongoing City-Wide Future Needs (Part 2): In addition to evaluating the firm fixed prices for the Crystal Lake Park project (Part 1), the City is also considering establishing optional usage agreements (task order-type agreements) for other tree and brush removal services across the city. These services are separate from the Crystal Lake Park project and may occur in other parks or for as needed work across all city properties (street tress, etc.). The City anticipates awarding multiple optional use agreements for Part 2 . The total number of awarded Part 2 agreements will be determined by the City during evaluation of the bids. The City’s Department of Public Works will oversee all work associated with street removal projects that are not led by the City Parks, which may arise in other locations throughout the City. Additional departments may also have needs, and the department director or their designee will be identified as the primary contract on an as needed basis.
