Group Health Insurance Coverage

Medical Group Insurance: The City of Apopka is soliciting proposals for qualified Insurance firms and Third-Party Administrators to perform the requested services stipulated in the RFP. The City is considering a two level approach to its Group Health Insurance Needs. (1) A Group Insurance Third Party Administrator (TPA) that would administer the claims process. As part of this proposal the City is considering a self-insured route based on proposal received. The TPA will have direct responsibility for administering the self insured medical program for the City: or (2) A Group Insurance Coverage Proposal provider that can provide the City with a fully insured medical plan(s) where the City has the ability to adjust the Deductible, Co-Pays, Co-Insurance amounts as well as encourage the use of the City Clinic as a means to manage health care costs. Each proposal should be independent of the other and all inclusive.
