Affordable Housing Development

The County of Shasta, through its Department of Support Services, Purchasing Unit, invites responses to a Request for Proposals seeking qualified affordable housing developers who have site control to propose the use of Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) funds for the predevelopment, development, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable multi-family rental and ownership housing that meets the needs of a growing workforce. In alignment with the purposes of PLHA, proposed projects should predominately serve residents at 80 percent to 120 percent of Area Median Income (AMI). The County is running two solicitations concurrently. One is an RFP for an affordable Housing Development (for Responders with site control), the other an RFI for Affordable Housing Developers (for a qualified sourcing list).
