Description

This notice solicits applications for projects under the Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health (CIIH) initiative. CIIH will support efforts, including research, education, service, partnership development and technical assistance, to address the documented chronic disease burden and health care access gaps experienced by American Indian and Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations.Funded projects should implement evidence-based frameworks and community-based strategies to prevent and improve chronic disease outcomes, including obesity, hypertension, diabetes, and related conditions, within one Indigenous population of focus. Eligibility: Any public or private nonprofit entity located in a State (which includes one of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands) is eligible to apply for an award under this announcement.Faith-based organizations and American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native American (AI/AN/NA) organizations that are public or non-profit private entities are eligible to apply.Public or non-profit community-based organizations (CBOs) are eligible to apply. Non-profit private institutions of higher education are eligible to apply. Award ceiling: 1,000,000 CFDA: 93.137
