Description
The City of New Smyrna Beach currently has approximately 150 job classifications under its compensation system. There are 323 full-time employees included in the FY2025 budget. The City has two (2) unions which represent approximately 35% of the workforce. The City currently has a pay range classification plan for employees, which are normally increased each year based on Commission Approval and/or Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements. The City of New Smyrna Beach (herein after, “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consultants with demonstrated skills and success in conducting employee classification, compensation, and benefits studies to assist the City in updating its classification plan and developing a strategy to ensure employee’s pay and benefits are at a competitive level that aligns with the results of the study. If an award is made it shall be made to the best overall proposer(s) whose proposal is most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in this document. The successful proposer will hereinafter be referred to as the "Consultant".
