Currently, the traffic detection system employed by the city is capable of detecting only motor vehicles and does not recognize bicycles. As the city continues to expand its network of cycle tracks, it is in both the city's and the public's interest to implement the traffic detection system that can detect both motor vehicles and bicycles so to ensure a safe and seamless riding environment for cyclists.
