Brief Description: BHS E Pod Control System upgrade in accordance with TSA’s Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) Remediation Program. Estimated Value: $1,277,603.30 Term (Years): One time procurement Vendor: ControlTouch Systems, LLC Justification: The Aviation Authority and TSA entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in August 2023. According to the MOU, the Aviation Authority is tasked with upgrading a portion of Pod E. ControlTouch Systems is performing the upgrade for the TSA portion which includes Pods A, B, C, D, RSF and a TSA portion of Pod E. ControlTouch Systems is currently performing the TSA portion of the upgrade as a subcontractor to Vertex Aerospace LLC through a TSA competitive solicitation (Contract No. 70T04021D7672N001). ControlTouch Systems is currently performing this scope for Pods A B C D, RSF and TSA portion of Pod E through a competitive solicitation. The Aviation Authority Staff researched alternate options, however, for consistency using ControlTouch Systems is beneficial since ControlTouch Systems is already performing this scope for Pods A B C D, RSF and TSA portion of Pod E.
