Robotic Pharmacy Dispensing System - Correctional Health

The County of San Mateo (the “County” or “SMC”) covers most of the San Francisco Peninsula. The region covers 744 mi2 and is home to nearly 800,000 residents and 20 incorporated cities. The Robotic Pharmacy Prescription Dispensing System (RPDS) is an automated prescription filling device that interfaces with the Pharmacy's computer system to fill, label, and deliver prescriptions for patients serviced at the County Correctional Facility. The facility requires multi-pack unit prescription fills, dispensing tablets and capsules of all shapes and sizes into packaging, labeling, and securing them. In addition, the RPDS fills directly from the dispensing cells, so there is no cross-contamination of drugs. (RPDS) automates repetitive manual dispensing tasks accurately and efficiently for the SMMC Pharmacy. Proposals may be in a combination of equipment/solutions to meet the facility's needs.
