Service of Process

The San Mateo County Department of Child Support Services serves the public by ensuring that children receive the financial support to which they are entitled. The Department also serves taxpayers by helping families remain self-sufficient and recouping public assistance. The process of securing child support involves location of parents obligated to pay support, establishment of paternity and establishment and enforcement of court orders for support. Securing child support is a legal process and requires formal service of process of certain documents. This request for proposals is for the service of documents in San Mateo County, other California counties and outside of California. The Department is seeking to enter into an agreement for a period of three years. The San Mateo County Department of Child Support Services retains the right to accept or reject all proposals submitted. Furthermore, while every effort has been made to ensure that the information presented in the Request for Proposals is accurate and thorough, the County assumes no liability for any unintentional error or omission in this document.
