This notice is issued solely for market research and planning purposes to determine the availability and capability of qualified contractors to perform a Design–Build project for a covered parking structure.2. Project DescriptionThe Government is seeking a Design–Build contractor to design and construct a covered parking structure capable of accommodating two (2) composite–sized fighter aircraft F–35. The structure must be a non–enclosed, standing seam metal roof canopy.Acceptable construction methods for this non–enclosed structure include, but are not limited to:Pre–Engineered Buildings (PEB)Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) blockTilt–up concrete panelsOther approved construction methods meeting the design criteria3. Specific Design & Engineering RequirementsThe design and construction must strictly adhere to the following architectural and engineering specifications:Structural & Architectural DesignCanopy Design: Multiple–segment cantilevered Gable type rising towards the interior.Support System: Load–bearing structural columns located around the outside perimeter, supporting cantilevered roof joists/space frame extending into the covered interior space.
